The summer transfer window used to be very busy for clubs across Europe to trade in players. The period usually sees the movement of players either being sold or loaned out if surplus to requirement of deserved more play time. It is always exiting moment for clubs because it gives them the opportunity to do some overhaul to the team by injecting fresh blood into the team.
Therefore, the 2011 summer transfer window has come and gone with lot of players moving in and out of their various clubs. The last summer transfer fees saw clubs in England paid over the odd on players transfer which saw the fee went higher than what was obtained in the 2010 summer transfer. It was also not surprising to see some good deals done on the transfer deadline.
Of one of the clubs that waited till the last minute is Arsenal football club who breached the policy of singing young players by bringing in Mikel Arteta (29yrs) from Everton for 10m pounds, and Benayoun on a season long loan to strengthen their weak squad which was mauled 8-2 by a formidable Manchester united squad few days before the dead line. Other players that were added to Arsenal team earlier are Gervinho from Lillie, Per Martesaker from Bremen, Park Chu-Young from Monaco, and the left back from Fenarbache etc .
